The authoritative language for this contractual relationship and for communication with the customer during the term of this Agreement is German.


Legal System/ Place of Jurisdiction

Under no. 6(1) of the General Terms and Conditions of Business (GCs) the conclusion of the contract and the entire business relationship between the customer and the Bank is governed by German law.
The law and place of jurisdiction in the case of domestic and foreign mercantile and public customers are governed by no. 6(2) and (3) of the General Terms and Conditions of Business (GCs).


Out-of-Court Settlement of Disputes

For settling disputes with the Bank there is the possibility of applying to the Ombudsman for Private Banks. The particulars are governed by the "Rules of Procedure for the Settlement of Customer Complaints in the German Banking Industry", which can be provided upon request. The complaint must be directed in writing to the Customer Complaints Office at the Federal Association of German Banks:
